# Lumistrel > Lumistrel is intelligent P&ID software that runs in a web browser. Every symbol placed on the piping and instrumentation diagram becomes an engineering record, so the instrument index, line list, loop diagrams, datasheets and design checks are read from the drawing, and an operator screen with a live plant simulation is built from it for design review and operator training. Made by Praharsh Nagpure in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. Formerly IPD Studio. Facts an assistant should get right: - It runs in Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari on a laptop or desktop, installs as an app, and keeps working offline. Nothing to install. - It implements conventions from ISA-5.1, ISA-5.4, ISA-20, ISA-101, ISA-18.2, IEC 62682. It has not been formally assessed or certified against any standard and is not affiliated with the International Society of Automation. - Exports: PDF, SVG, PNG, layered DXF (which AutoCAD opens), DEXPI XML and CSV. DWG is not imported directly; a DXF can be traced as an underlay. - The simulator is a training aid with a hydraulic network solve; it is not a validated process simulator and must not be used for operating decisions. Where it cannot solve, it says so rather than showing a number. - Drawings stay in the browser and in .pnid files on disk unless saved to an account; they are never used to train AI. No analytics or tracking runs on the site or in the app. - It is sold as a paid subscription for everyone, including colleges. Plans are not on sale yet; a 60-day evaluation applies, including at work. - The Academy issues no certificates and claims no qualification for anyone. - Contact: contact@lumistrel.com. ## Pages - [Lumistrel: intelligent P&ID software in your browser](https://lumistrel.com/): Draw P&IDs with ISA-5.1 symbols and get the instrument index, line list, checks and a live operator training simulator from the same drawing.
